Yes, I am free from Aspergillus at this time. The cavity closed partially but not completely since I still have Abscessus but the colony count is very low so my doctor at NJH is watching it for the time being since I am feeling good. I really don't want to be on any more medication for awhile if I can help it. How are you doing these days? I hope all is well.

Wow, congratulations! I am SO HAPPY for you. I have not been doing well, I got 3 infections from staph in 6 months. Right now I am on azithromycin to prevent flare-ups. It is a lesser evil choice, because taking azithromycin alone will cause antibiotic resistance. And my pulmonologist and ID doctor agreed that bringing my lung function back up to avoid further infections is more important. I saw a different pulmonologist yesterday, his professional focus is on bronchiectasis, hopefully from now I can be on the right path.
A cruise trip sounds exciting, enjoy it. We have to live our normal life fully. That is what I am trying to do everyday.
