Yes, the allergy nurse mentioned, when I was first diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2016, that steroid inhalers “strip your bones.” The doctor stuck to the party line, saying steroid inhalers don’t affect bones. I have just started Montelukast, in an effort to halve my inhalers. Allergy shots, as well.

I would love to use allergy shots but I am still tapering prednisone. Some inhalers are safer than others meaning the steroid in them is not absorbed by the body as much as others.
