Hello,
Your story is similar to mine! Sorry to hear. Could I PM you. I had an injury to epigastric abdomen 2010...languished in bed for 6 yrs to get small surgery to repair torn muscle.
Have severe epigastric pain now, also contacted Mayo, was declined.
Stimulator placed last Sept. all these months later I am back bedridden, it messed with my nerves so badly.
I do have some other info. Maybe of use to you...I wrote on another blog, so you may have seen another post of mine. My epigastric pain is like yours overwhelming and life altering...some days I just want to sleep thru the pain. Trying to get my Stimulator out, causes me great pain, especially battery pack. Thnk you sharing.

Oh my goodness you have gone through more than anyone should have to. "Small surgery to repair a torn muscle"? Wow, your story begs the question of why it took so long to find a torn muscle? How did you tear a muscle while lying in bed for 6-years? Whew! I wonder why Mayo declines to offer a diagnosis and remedy? I experienced the same thing which was VERY disappointing. I certainly understand your desire to sleep through the pain. I, too desire to "escape" it somehow but can't. I don't know what you mean by, "PM you"? The SCS may help you but it did not help me. I am glad the neurosurgeon removed it. If you have add't information I am always researching or am in the process of coordinating an app't with a abdominal surgeon. Next up is the U of Chicago Medical Ctr.; "Specialists in Complicated GI Issues".
