I did hear back from oncologist office and my surgery is scheduled for July 17th but I am on the cancelation list. I am relieved to get this scheduled and to know the oncologist did not see any thing to be concerned about on the PET scan - other than the endometrial cancer. Now the research begins on what to expect after the robotic complete hysterectomy. Thanks everyone for your assistance!

@fos54235 Oh, goodness. I’ve been thinking about you. I’m so glad to hear that the oncology office finally called you back and your surgery has been scheduled. Also, that while the PET scan showed activity in the uterus but that is due to the diagnosed endometrial cancer.

Many of us here in our support group have had radical robotic hysterectomies. I had one in 2019 and it was a same day surgical procedure. The recovery was far easier than I expected. I came home with five tiny incisions covered in small bandages. I was fatigued for a few weeks because I had general anesthesia. I followed all the post-operative recommendations including no driving my car for about a week, picking up nothing heavier than a grocery bag, and walking every day but no lifting weights at the gym as I do strength training. I watched a lot of series and movies on streaming TV while I was resting at home.
