If antihistamines are helping, your symptoms may be related to histamine intolerance or mast cell activation syndrome. As my main problems are night time SOB and racing heart, I am looking into these two possible problems.

My pulmonologist wants me to take Zyrtec for the foreseeable future. She kept me on Pepcid for a year before ending this prescription. I believe these two medications helped me start healing. I am now on a steroid inhaler and Zyrtec, and I feel the best I've felt in five years! I hope you find some relief soon!
