OP and Fingernails and Toenails affected

I am wondering if anyone else has had their OP affect their toenail and fingernails? My nails on both body parts just crumble. On my fingers they go way below the quick. They break just taking a shower, all my nails have ridges in them if you run your fingers or nails across them you can easily see and feel them. Any feedback would be appreciated. Especially if you have any tips or suggestions for how to fix them.

Hi,
It sounds like you have fingernail fungus. My dermatologist gave me a prescription for
Terbinafine tablets. It took several months for the new nails to grow in but it can have
serious side effects. Maybe you should check it out. Good luck.

Hi,
It sounds like you have fingernail fungus. My dermatologist gave me a prescription for
Terbinafine tablets. It took several months for the new nails to grow in but it can have
serious side effects. Maybe you should check it out. Good luck.

This can also be a sign of hypothyroidism.

Hi-yes. My nails have ridges and I have to keep them short because they catch on everything. A couple actually will actually tear. I don’t know if meds cause it or OP. My doctor has no opinion and told me if I am concerned I should see a dermatologist.
