@klodi, orchiopexy is the most common surgery to fix a single undescended testicle. It has a success rate of nearly 100%. Most of the time, the risk of fertility problems goes away after surgery for a single undescended testicle. Surgery with two undescended testicles is more complex, but still hopeful for improving fertility. Surgery also might lower the risk of testicular cancer, but it doesn't get rid of the risk.

These are good questions to ask your son's surgeon. Did your son have surgery? How is he doing?
