Is anyone else using AI like ChatGPT
I have been using AI for over a year to review my blood work and help me plan my diet, follow up questions with my Oncologist, and consider another course of action.
Any thoughts?

All of the AI’s helped with almost any issue you can come up with. ChatGPT is only one of them.
Perhaps your clinic is already using it…
I’ve been using Grok quite a lot and I think it’s a mistake. I mean a mistake to use it for a very personal things like cancer and other serious ailments. However, I use a pseudonym as I do here and everywhere on the Internet.
I’m a big fan of AI particularly grok for figuring out how to get rid of drain flies and how to store cashmere sweaters in the winter. However, I regret all that I’ve told the AI about the four surgeries I’ve had in the past 30 months.
I don’t think it’s paranoid given what we’ve learned in the last 15 years about the US government to think that sharing information about your medical situation directly or indirectly (meaning the AI can figure out why you’re asking about prostate cancer) is at least a bad idea at worst foolish and reckless.
Ask a bunch of things that have nothing to do with your health. Without a way to differentiate, there is no way to know whether something is just for information.
I entered a bunch of information about my medical history and treatments over the past 3 1/2 years. Pathology reports, PSMA/PET scan results, the details about my SRT including the technology used, dosage, and my RO’s name. All medications and their duration and the asked the probability that I would make it 5 years without BCR. I entered the info into ChatGPT and Grok. Got basically the same answer from both which was more optimistic than what my MO said. Hope they’re right.
I have been doing the same thing. I’ve also used it to help me choose supplements and avoid interactions that may cause problems with the ADT (Orgovyx and Nubeqa), treatment or other supplements I’m taking.
I have high volume metastatic prostate cancer with extensive metastasis to multiple bones and lymph nodes. 3+4 Gleason. Prostate removed in 2011. Cancer came back in 2024. PSA 168 down to .1 on ADT treatment. I decided to not do chemo and see how far I can take this praying that technology including AI, will bring better treatments within my castrate sensitive phase.
I did the same and the results confirmed my current treatment plan as being the best avenue and gave me a better outlook for survival rates than my oncologist. Thank you for sharing and pointing this out.
