Whenever I have had a bleed in the past it would almost always happen when I laid down to go to bed. As soon as I laid back, I would get the gurgle effect you describe and then would need to get up and cough up blood. Then it would resolve. For some reason this no longer occurs or has not in a long time even though I cannot say I am getting better in any way. Every once in awhile I will get that gurgle effect and it is not a bleed.
