Yes, that definitely happens to some people. It’s actually pretty common for viral symptoms—especially with COVID—to fluctuate throughout the day. Your immune system has a circadian rhythm too, and inflammation tends to spike in the morning. You might feel fine by evening, only to wake up feeling awful again.

If you haven’t already, it’s worth doing a rapid test when the symptoms are strongest, since viral load can vary over the day. Hope you get some solid rest and feel better soon.

Yes, I feel it during the day when I lay down, but not at night (so far). There is a burning on the bottom of the feet as well. I count them as 2 symptoms along with daytime exhaustion that eases up somewhat around 3 PM.
