Hi Diver, I’ll buy you a ginger ale any time - to thank you for sharing you valuable information about drinking only water! So glad you have no more pain! I’ve recently had mild bowel discomfort, thinking coffee and diet coke caused it, so I’m going to give them up now and drink only water, thanking you for having the courage to relegate yourself to drinking only boring boring boring water.

PS. I’ll let you know how that works. If it does, count on a good old glass of delicious ginger ale from me. 🥂

Drinking about 32 ounces of water a day does help with GI issues like constipation. Yes, water is boring 🙂 but I would rather have it then feel the pain. I do add an Emergen -C packet to a glass every morning to get at least some of my vitamins in. I also know that I felt so bad the first year or so and realized that I was walking around with a little dehydration which also made me feel terrible. I had kidney stones back in 1995 and that was a terrible experience. Water helps all the organs function better and when the RA doc did my blood work, she said that I probably had some stones (please let them just stay where they are!!) so I know that water helps with that as well as dehydration can cause kidney stones to form. Let me know how it goes. Drinking TOO much water can be bad, but we are talking like 2 liters a days. If exercising and sweating, that can be ok, but because I have this LC nightmare, I am no longer able to do that.
