Anyone diagnosed with this find any relief? Mayo Clinic recommending biofeedback PT, GI psychologist, Ozempic type medications. Major symptoms chronic long term diarrhea initially triggered by adverse reaction to Zoloft. Thank you.

Hi @wishingonastar This sounds super interesting and no doubt you have had quite the journey getting to your diagnosis. I do not have this diagnosis but have been trying to learn about how the brain and gut are impacting my health. I am going to stay tuned…

You might find others by going to the home page and typing search criteria in the box at the top.

I did find resources you may find interesting:
- Mayo Clinic’s approach to DGBI: https://www.mayoclinicproceedings.org/article/S0025-6196(22)00618-8/fulltext
-research is happening: https://www.mayo.edu/research/centers-programs/enteric-neuroscience-program/overview
-gut brain overview: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/body/the-gut-brain-connection

Has this been a long journey for you? What is your next step?

Thank you so much for responding Janell, and for sending those links. How kind of you to be a volunteer mentor. Yes, this has been a long journey to get this diagnosis. Mayo was fantastic and we will follow their protocol. I am guessing there is going to be more research on the mind-gut disorder. I hope we hear from others on their journeys as well.

Thank you so much for your comments and good wishes. I will check out Pristiq, and all the best to you.

Has anyone been diagnosed? I went to Mayo and this is the only thing they could come up with. I have been sick for years and got no answers. I guess it’s kind of a new thing and they are still learning about it.
