I think it is possible if the adjustment pinches/injures nerves.

I am not a big fan of chiropractors. You may want to see an orthopedic spine specialist and neurologist for testing to see if you have compressed spinal cord/nerve roots, or nerve injuries impacting communications to upper/lower limbs.
