@heathert Oh my, that is the bacteria that causes kennel cough in dogs. Do you have or work around puppies? It is hardly ever found in humans.

Is it causing you any symptoms? If not, did they do a repeat culture to confirm it wasn't just an artifact?
And, as @pacathy said, with a rare bug like this, it is best they do a sensitivity test to see which antibiotic will kill it.

@suenm thank you so much for your reply, I have 2 dogs at home but thats all.I have asked for another sputum test also, incase the last one was contaminated in the lab and my Specialist has not replyed, so I am going to my GP on Tues to see if she can order one for me. I have a bit more mucus but not really any of the other symptoms related to this bug, which I find strange. I feel like our specialists are just so busy that they have no time to go into these things, but it is all sounding a bit odd to me, so I am investigating this myself. My spectalist said my lungs were pristine so I feel it may be coming from my noes/sinus as i have been having sinus problems so am upping my nose rinses. Thanks Heather

Oh and I am getting a popping gurgling going on in my chest when I lye down in bed, I have now bouth an electric bed and lye almost upright but If I do not raise it high enough I the the wierd gurgling again, it doesnt last longer than around 20mins, so strange. And cough a bit in the morn and at night but definatly not alot like pertussis.
