Auvelity and daytime drowsiness anybody?

Hi, just started Auvelity 6 days ago. The daytime drowsiness is so intense! I don't want to stop taking it because I felt better right away, it was amazing. I had been crying 2-3 times per day and that stopped right away. I'm sleeping better. I'm just happier. I keep taking caffeine in my battle against the sleepiness, but it doesn't help much. I'm 70, I've been taking the usual antidepressants all my life cuz I never went to a psychiatrist - until last week and he's the one that ordered the Auvelity. So I'm a satisfied customer except for the drowsy thing. Would love any feedback, thanks!

Sorry, didn't list the dosage: 45- 105mg tablets, twice per day.

Dr has switched me to 1 pill per day to be taken at night, so I'm sure my daytime drowsiness will improve now.

Does Auvelity cause weight gain? I’m terrified of that. I’m on Effexor 300 mg. Been on it for many years. No side effects but I feel it has stopped working. I don’t feel much joy in life and reading is my only escape . I hope you find that taking it at night helps. I am also in my 70’s.

I have been on Auvelity for a couple of months and it has helped lift my depression. I feel better and happier than I have felt in years! I have not experienced weight gain or sleepiness. Hopefully as your body adjusts to the medication, the side effects will lessen. I wish you the very best.
