Prolia and Hair Loss

I was reluctant to start Prolia, but decided after a fall breaking my sternum to start it. I am a very healthy 68 year old woman. Walk and Exercise at the gym 3 to 4 days a week. No daily meds except Omeprazole. After a few days of the injection I would have terrible joint pain lasting about a week. After my 2nd shot I came down with an eye infection called Uveitis. It is caused by inflammation in the body. I was on a steroid eye drop for extended time, each time I would stop the drop the infection would flare back up. I took 3 shots of Prolia. Came back down with another eye infection, Steritis. At this time my ophthalmologist told me Prolia is directly related to these eye infections, and the doctors are fully aware of this side effect. I was due for my 4th injection Feb 25. I decided not to take it anymore. I am not using any medication for my Osteoporosis. I have gastritis issues from using Fosamax, so at this point I’ll take my chance on hopefully not falling. The end of April 25, my hair started falling out by the hands full. I have an appointment with the dermatologist, but I began thinking it could be from the Prolia. I went to research this and found this site. Wanted to share all my experiences using Prolia in case this could benefit others.
I appreciate all the information given. Thank you everyone, and best of luck to all.

Thank you for that. Just one more reason not to use Prolia!
I quit after the 3D shot and am now using Risedronate for about a year now. No side effects! One pill once a week.
My hair is coming back thank goodness!
