Congratulations on your new family addition!

It sounds like you have an infection but not HSV. It could also be hormonal changes. If you had HSV, your doctor would have put you in medication like valacyclovir in your last trimester of pregnancy so you did not infect your newborn during delivery. Definitely see your OBGYN as soon as possible to determine if you need treatment.
