Kevin, why 83? That's an odd number.

Actually, I'm hoping to live to an odd number myself: 81, so I can celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary. Then I'll be ready for checkout.

Unless, of course, my PCa is miraculously cured, as well as my arthritis. Then I might hang around a bit longer.

Random life expectancy calculator...

I like the idea of hanging around to my 50th wedding anniversary, so a little math, married 15 Sep 1989, makes that 2039, lines up with the random calculator.

I have this theory that says 65-75 are the active years, 75-85 sees a slowdown and after that well...

Of course if you had asked my 18-year-old self what I would be doing at 9, that smart ass would have said living in a nursing home, using a walker...yet, in a little over a week I'll be riding in the Garmin Unbound, a 55 mile gravel bike ride in the Flint Hills near Emporia, KS with my sister and daughter's boyfriend.
