Since my revision I have had asthma exacerbation. More often post op. When I am on prednisone, I feel so much better and that is the only time that my hives on my knee, where I had my total knee go away. I had a bad ear infection, ear tube placed. Now some permanent hearing loss and tinnitus. Also post op shingles. All of this was 1 year post op. My work up from my hives on my knee, where my total knee replacement was 2 different patch testing ( about 50 different substances each test) 2 biopsies, that both showed that the hives are probably due to a reaction to my TKR. 2 rheumatology consults to rule out autoimmune diseases. They so far say that there are no blood tests to show metal allergies, that are FDA approved. I am also having swelling and pain.
