Has anyone tried Celtic salt for their migraines?

A nutritionist told me to try celtic salt in a sole mixture. You make up the mixture and keep it for the week; just use 1-2 teaspoons in another liquid. Laugh at me, but I am desperate!

I haven’t heard of the salt but my teen sons neurologist told him to take magnesium and omega 3 supplements for his migraines with aura and also take a NSAID or Tylenol at the first hint of an visual aura before the pain hits to help reduce the pain from the following migraine. He also recommended good sleep, diet, exercise and drinking a good amount of water with electrolytes added. There is salt in the electrolytes so maybe that is tied to what your nutritionist is recommending.

I have the Celtic salt which my Neuromuscular therapist suggested. She just told me to lick it and put it on my tongue which I do a couple of times a day. Does it help my migraines and sleep? Not sure but it does help muscle cramping in my legs. Almost every afternoon, I get a headache. I also take magnesium as a powder in water morning and night, and use a magnesium lotion which I rub on the back of my knees at night. I do believe that getting a good night's sleep is crucial to avoiding migraines. Unfortunately, I'm up and down all night long!
Maybe I'll try your suggestion of dissolving the salt in water and then adding it to liquids. Worth a try!

You might check and see if you have sleep apnea. I found out I do. I tried a CPAP, but couldn't take it. So, my dentist made me an appliance to sleep with (like a mouthguard). It helped my headaches a lot.

Soooo, here I am resulting to SALT. I am waiting for it to be delivered to my home next Wednesday along with a miracle.
