The surgeon injured one fascicle of the ulnar nerve while putting the muscle back into place after repairing the displaced fracture of the trochlea . He sewed the injured fascicle of the ulnar nerve back together. These details are all in his operative notes . I had full use of my hand prior to surgery and was told it might take a year or so to fully heal after the nerve injury ( it’s now been 17 months ) . I have had x rays and the elbow has healed and looks good . Looking at tests / procedures that might help the nerve fully recover so I full use of my hand . The mri and nerve testing is a good idea . I plan to see a neurologist in the future.
One surgery - fell on the ice and landed on my elbow with my arm outstretched . Small bruise on hip. No other injuries.
Thank you for the advice . I appreciate it.

You can ask the lab and your doctor who did the FNA biopsy to send your sample for molecular testing which may help fine-tune the cytology result.
