@roslansky

I’ve had both a triple bypass and then, after one bypass failed, a stent. A stent is a much easier recovery. I had three blockages, 90%, 70% and 50% so the bypass was recommended. Both of my uncles had stents and lived into their 90s.

The stent is a lot easier to experience and to recover from. I can’t provide medical advice, but stents are a good option in my experience.

Thank you roslansky. I made an inaccurate assumption [aren't most of these inaccurate]. My significant problem is not in the LAD, but the left main artery. I am scheduled for open-heart next Thursday. But, thank you for your information.

Two facts are pertinent here. First, I was not told that my major problem was the LAD artery, I just assumed that. It is in the left main artery just below where the LAD branches off. The doctors considered it too dangerous to try to stent, so they will open me up. Thanks for your info.
