Bless you for reaching out for her. Have you spoken with her? It was almost one year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. At the time, I was unemployed, uninsured and depressed. It just is a lot. If it weren’t for my friend (who lives in another state), I would most likely not have made it. Just check in on her often. For a patient advocate, her cancer center should have a social worker and/or nurse advocate; although she will always be her best own advocate.
