Hello, I have a 75-80% blockage in the LAD based on a heart CT scan. I've had a follow-up cardiac PET scan that came back relatively normal. I've been having some minor chest discomfort and am currently in Metoprolol ER Succinate 25 MG one pill daily and have just been prescribed with Isosorbide 30 mg one pill daily today for angina. The doctor thinks the insurance company would deny a catheterization when a PET scan was just performed on 09/11/25 that was somewhat normal and wants to wait until January to do another follow-up PET scan. I also have edema in my feet and legs and am going to have an ultrasound of my veins in November to see if they're causing the buildup of fluid in my legs and feet. Any red flags that you can think of in this strategy?
