@cdk I agree with @celestebradham You may not want to spend too much money. I didn’t like front closing bras, don’t like the extra thickness of fabric/velcro or hooks there. I bought sports bras with regular closures and turned the hook to the front to open/close. I bought them big enough so it wasn’t difficult to get my arms under the strap - wouldn’t work with a drain, though.

I’ve gone through 7 different type bras, from nothing-bras to sports bars, foam cups, and underwire - also fitted at Dillards. Surprisingly the foam cup was the most uncomfortable. It had “stays” on the sides (little strips of plastic put in to add stability). These sat right on the edge of the end of the inframammary scars. I cut them out. But the cup was thicker at the bottom (support) that hurt the surgical/radiation area by pushing on it.

At 2 1/2 years out, I went on a mission to pick out 2 bra types that worked and get rid of the others. I’m keeping the Dillards fit underwire for fancy, and thin fabric clothes. I ordered a bra from BustedTank.com that is now my preferred comfort & fit bra. They customized it for me, using details I sent in an email to them. Perfect!
