Constant Tinnitus

My tinnitus came on very suddenly in mid-December and continues to get worse every month. I have seen three audiologists including one at Mayo Clinic and have no answers as to what has caused this and why it is getting worse. I was told that perhaps I had a viral infection in December but I don't have one now.
I am taking an anti-seizure drug called Depakote. I have been taking it since last September but I suspect that this drug is causing the problem because I have no other explanation. I am in the process of weaning off of the drug now to see if that helps. It is my only hope. I believe that I will lose all of my remaining hearing. I am at my wits end. I got hearing aids that that help a little.
Does anyone out there have any similar reaction to Depakote?
Thank you.

Tinnitus is a mystery that researchers are trying to solve. So far, not much luck. It affects people differently. It seems that it can be caused by medications, illnesses, food allergies, etc. But that differs among people. The one true cause of tinnitus that has been identified is excess noise, sudden or of duration. I suggest you seek more information at https://www.ata.org/ The American Tinnitus Association has an excellent website. Of course they are looking for financial support, but their information is available free online.
