Are we twins? I’m also 65. Diagnosed in November. I just had a consultation with my endo and she was OK with my taking my time to decide my treatment. I will repeat my DEXA after one year of eating well (I was a snacker before: lots of chips, fries etc. I have a naturally thin frame so I could eat junk - and I did LOL), seeing a personal trainer for weight training, and taking supplements. If I hold I’ll continue as I am. If I decline I’ll do one year of evenity or tymlos followed by fosamax. I’m already very active: I run, walk, do HIIT classes but have ramped it up. My endo didn’t look at me like I was nuts in the head - she has a lot of patients who need time. She said if I was a lot older/less fit she’d be more insistent on meds.

@nannygoat5 what is HIIT?

Please keep us posted. I tried Tymlos or 3 months. Terrible headaches for the first 2 weeks, then got past that only to have severe leg cramps and overall not feel great. I was going to try another but feel so much better without medication that I can't bring myself to go back on anything. I am vigilant about the treadmill as well as use small weights, and try to eat mostly healthy food. I'm with you, if I have stayed about the same, I'll continue without meds.
