What was the reason you had surgery? Did you injure your foot or was it a congenital deformity?

Have you seen a neurologist for evaluation, EMG/nerve conduction study of lower limbs and small fiber neuropathy skin punch biopsy?

Have you seen a vascular/vein specialist to see if you have a circulation issue in your foot? There is an ankle brachial test that could be done.

If you have nerve pain, you could try Salonpas lidocaine pain patches, capsaicin topical cream, etc. You can try compression socks for swelling and pain and resting/elevating and icing your foot. Alpha Lipoic acid, Acetyl l carnitine and magnesium supplements can help calm small fiber nerve pain somewhat. If you have swelling and inflammation, you could apply topical Voltaren gel.

I had surgery for adult acquired flat foot. I tried every OTC cream and pain patch available, nothing worked. I ice three times a day and elevate my foot frequently. Nothing changes. I am waiting to hear from my surgeon about getting an MRI to rule out soft tissue problems
