@bigal1956 I was told absolutely after my diagnosis for peripheral neuropathy that there was no treatment and no cure but should the pain grow too great to see my GP. I go to the gym to Aqua fitness five days a week I am now going to up it and do 2 classes in the hope that this will improve my a lot. Whilst my walking isn’t great it seems to be static however balance is becoming a nuisance hence taking two classes. I will post if the extra exercise helps anything good luck everyone.
@bigal1956 I too have loss of balance very bad. I can't drive, swim, run, walk too much, leave my house unattended, play any sports, play with my grandchildren, work in my beloved garden, dance,or travel. I think I have tried everything but so far nothing helps except physical therapy which gives me confidence to do some things because of the physical therapist there to help me . I have fallen more times than I can remember but never badly hurt. So sorry you have this burden, stay positive and don;t give up.

Some antidepressants help with numbness and pain. I also take alpha lipoic (OTC) acid which helped even more to reduce numbness. It has also helped my back pain.
