12 Minute Walk at Fat Burning Pace | Walk at Home


This is Leslie Sansones, my walking exercise guru. I’ve just started walking again with her (and her brother). I do have her set of Miracle Miles walking DVDs. But I prefer the ones I watch on Youtube on my computer. I like this 12-minute walking cycle because I can generally do and don’t get stressed if I can’t.

It does me no good to try to walk outdoors. I wish I could but can’t because my right hip joint always locks up on me and the pain is terrible. This is from lumbar disk disease. I do have neuropathy in my feet also but I don't suffer walking barefoot on a mat or on the carpet in my bedroom.

I’ll try to keep posting small updates to my walking program to encourage myself and others. I haven’t been very consistent but I’ll try. Hugs, CB

PS I read through the Mayo clinic exercise schedule and my body can't do it. My lumbar degenerative disk disease will not let me walk on a schedule. But the plan sure looks good.

@cb3 thank you for introducing me to the walking program! I used to be able to walk like this, but no more. My AD is on my brain and is similar to MS. I go out every day and walk at least 2 miles. The walking program should be great for snowy days! Thank you!
