Can l get your opinion about this. The reason I'm stressing probably more than l should is l have not had an echocardiogram or any test since my CT scan on February 14 2025. My number then according to the CT was my aorta was 4.5 cm. Prior to this l had my annual echocardiogram in July 2024 and my number was 4.0 cm. In only 7 months it has enlarged by .5 cm. That doesn't seem normal. Do you think that is a normal rate of enlargement. Now it's May and l have not been tested again. I'm worried it has enlarged more over these last few months. Anyone please give me an option.

Remember you are referencing two measurements taken by two different methods, read by different people, you would be surprised how much measurements vary. More than likely your dilation has not grown by .5. That is why it is so important to establish a baseline and get periodical measurements done in a consistent manner to determine a more accurate growth rate. Again, an aortic disease specialist would recommend the most accurate method and establish the frequency of follow ups.

I know it is hard not to think about this, and get anxious about the info you have, but the right Dr would give you the best answers
