I go to Mayo Rochester every 3 months for follow up for cancer
I stay at Broadway Plaza downtown which has 1 2 3 bedroom apartments and connects to Mayo through the skyway and subway tunnels,, its walking distance or wheelchairs are avaialble
its very safe and I can cook my own meals, I get a Lyft to Peoples Coop grocery or Hyvee Grocery store,, again,, close by. Two good restaurants are in walking distance a block away.
Its safe and the staff are wonderful . I think the Marriott Residence Inn has completed renovations as well,, also very close to clinic via skyway and subway tunnel . There is also Hope House which requires getting on a waiting list but I understand a lot of patients stay there.
Once inside Mayo Clinic,, ask for a wheelchair as they will wheel you to various appts and avoid getting lost, as was my custom each day looking for rhe right office
Gonda Bldg at Mayo has a business office for computer use and a room to rest in a recliner between appts,, very quiet and so helpful . Best to you on your journey, I have been so so grateful for the treatment and support I have received at Mayo Rochester !!
