Exemestane and extreme fatigue

Posted by stephied @stephied, May 7 8:00pm

Hello. I am new here. I had a mastectomy in January 2016. 4.5 cm tumor with 4 positive nodes. The tumor tested 100% for hormone receptors. Had chemo and rads and and oophorectomy in December 2016. I will be taking Exemestane until October 2026. I am so tired all of the time and it’s getting worse. Anyone else experience this? TIA

I have been on Exemestane for 2 years now and I am tired every single day. I 'm not good with taking naps so I just keep pushing forward.

I have finally relented and started taking naps on some days. I am not a good napper so I have to nap only when I am really tired. I put on my pj’s and get into bed, and set an alarm. This helps my brain relax, so I can rest.i have found that I feel better moving through the rest of the day if I take even a short nap.
I don’t nap every day because frankly I just can’t afford the time, but because of this I notice how different I feel on those days.
What keeps you from being a good napper?

I really don't know. Have never been a good sleeper. I guess maybe too much on my mind.
