Hi @windyshores,

Thank you for your detailed explanation. I have had one dose of Prolia but have asked my doctor to look into alternatives after reading more extensively about prolia. Although my osteoporosis is severe (due to having had hypothyroidism, since resolved), I am willing to take a less effective medication for the osteoporosis if it avoids the potential problems with discontinuation of prolia.

Prolia has the potential to have serious side effects. Unfortunately for me it lead to osteomyelitis and osteonecrosis. I was taking Prolia for 10y This lead to Jaw surgery severe pain . Long germ antibiotics and hyperbaric chamber for 40 days. Please consider visiting endocrinology or a bone health doctor that specializes in. Your condition. It’s not safe to just stop Prolia once you been on . I had to go off it and not allowed to go on any bone health drug I’m considering doing estrogen and progesterone hormone compound to support bone health instead
