I went through a period of this for a bit over a year and it spontaneously resolved. But I showed a doctor the size of it and he rushed me to my primary so fast I went from one office to the next. Turns out he was concerned about cervical cancer. I didn't have it but I never knew that was a symptom and am just passing that knowledge to you. I've had small bowel bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and that caused upper abdominal bloating, gas and a sour stomach. That is hard to test for and my GI just prescribes the antibiotic Xifaxin and I'll know in a couple days if its working because I get so much relief. I also read an interesting article about bloating so I saved it and will link it here. It's whole new take on bloating. I know how bad bloating can be.
