Neuropathy
So for those that have been following me my blood work after 20 plus years of autoimmune neuropathy came back as Hashmitos, Sjogrens and Lupus. I am loosing my hair all of a sudden like a chemo patient. It took since 2002 to finally get my autoimmune diagnosis. Why so long I will never understand.

Hello,
So sorry about what you're going through. However, believe me when I tell you that despite being in a well developped country, the healtcare system here and also now worldwide is in shambles where the dollar got everyone dancing and the word "CARE" has but all evaporated. There's plenty of empathy (feeling) but lack of compassion (action putting the feeling into work). If you are a reader, I would like to suggest a highly thought provoking book called "Compassionomics" By Drs. Stephen Trzeciak and Anthony Mazzarelli.
Wishing the best and take care,

I will try to get hold of the book you are recommending. Yes, the health care system here has little to do with healing and wellness. It is nearly impossible to see a specialist and many of them are trained to give you only a minimal amount of time. Also, many of the prescription drugs have huge side effects--yet, they are advertised on TV every night to make it seem that they are the answer to one's problems. I would not be in this situation had I passed on an RX drug for my sinus infection. Wish I could turn back the clock!
Hello again,
Thank you for your reply and again I'm so sorry about your condition. Indeed unfortunately, we can never turn back the clock. Doctors or specialist are not trained to either listen to or allow enough time for the patient. Everybody's main focus is the dollar. The book goes over that.
Wishing the best.
Take care and have a serene evening,

I have had some scary encounters with doctors. Some do not belong in the medical field. Yes, the dollar rules in the USA. Look at all the drug commercials on TV. I am old enough to remember that years ago on the tube we saw deodorant, shampoo and food commercials--no longer so--now DrugLand rules.
Unfortunately, the public seems to demand these drugs so this will keep on going.
Hello,
Unfortunately, the public has been drugged senseless. BIG PHARMA rules and controls. Isn't weird how many treatments are available on the market but no cures? Why? Simple. BIG PHARMA has zero intention to find cures which will not be profitable for them compared to treatments, therefore they keep the people on drugs and unaware. I was sent the below by an acquaintance. I think it speaks volumes.
“The bankers will ensure we stay in debt. The pharmaceutical companies will ensure we stay sick. The weapons manufacturers will ensure we keep going to war. The media will ensure we are prevented from knowing the truth. The government will ensure all of this is done legally.” “Once you understand that, you understand everything.”
Take care and have a serene day,

Since we are thinking the same about drugs with so many side effects, and dr.s being in the room with you , with, sort of ...one foot out the door, since they are in a rush............you might find this interesting.........what i did back in oct 1997. For years, since aprx mid 1970's, i started getting ear infections, for no apparent reason. Dr would always say, it's otis media, here's a prescription. One time he referred to it as swimmers ear, i said, i don't swim, well that didn't matter. Anyway, it first happened aprx once every 3 yrs, then every 2 yrs, continuing more frequently, as often as 3 times a year. The last time i saw him, as he was walking out of the room i said.....wait a minute... WHY do i keep getting these infections? He said, I don't know, you need to see a specialist, an ENT, will know why. Then i said, but if i take these pills, the pain will be gone when i see the ENT, and there will be nothing for him to see. The DR., said........that won't matter, he can find out why. SO, i paid out of pocket to see a specialist, sure enough, i was right...........the specialist said, your ears are fine. I said, i know, but my Dr., said you could figure out WHY i keep getting the infections. He said, oh no. I can ONLY treat an infection, i don't know why you keep getting them. Well that was the moment, i started reading on alternative treatments, and Dr's. I found one book, and from that one book, i pretty much diagnosed myself as to WHY, i kept getting them.........I actually called several alternative DR's, i was sort of indirectly ..interviewing them, as to their answers, when i told them my problem and asked if they could help. Of course, they ALL said, yes they could. BUT only ONE DR., discussed the reason why i kept getting them, and that matched what i had already figured out, so he was the one i chose to see. After 2 months of easy treatments...........i never had those ear problems again......Ever since then, i was seeing other Naturopathic dr.s, who were closer to me, but many, just didn't seem to fit what i was looking for..........after much searching, i did find ONE, and stuck with her for aprx 20 yrs. Now, at my age, i can no longer drive that far. The ones near me, don't come close to all the types of treatments she does. I do realize, some day, i will need an MD...........so i do see one for the yearly check up............but, i do turn down the statin drugs, etc...........unfortunately, alternative dr.s, most do not take insurance.............and if you have to search thru several First Time visits, before you find one that is a good fit for you, it will be costly.........Just thought this may be of some help to someone out there. PS, I was amazed that Mayo Clinic had several years ago, put out a book on herbs, and natural healing. If they were closer to me, I would be looking for one of their Dr.s as a primary care, if they do primary care. But, i still would try to find a Naturopath, that i like. Just can't find one close to me now a days.
Connecting with the doctors is akin to going down a rabbit hole. Very hard to climb out of there. Since I do not yet have a diagnosis I am being put through the paces of test after test--very anxiety-producing which is not good for folks with autoimmune issues. I have connected with other autoimmune orgs including the Arthritis Foundation--their folks are very nice and understanding. I consulted a dietician but am making my own adjustments. I also stick to a strict regimen of stretching and sometimes strength training. In today's NY Post there is a report of a new "inverse vaccine" which holds out hope of treating autoimmune illness in a kinder way than exists now. Hang in there and be good to yourself!
The main book i started with, and still keep for reference is PRESCRIPTION FOR NUTRITIONAL HEALING By james F. Balch.....some books also include phyllis A. Balch.......They have a much better description of health issues than any MD i've ever been too. From the book, i figured out my ear infections were from ....mold.......apparently all the antibiotics i had been given, created , actually, it was called a leaky gut, from mold build up. the Dr i saw had a computer , and used it to see what supplements/herbs i needed to resolve the problem. I have NEVER found another dr., who used the computer. He had me hold a probe in one hand, tested me with herbs, etc., and the computer gave a read out for each product. Sure wish other Dr., would use it.
In response to....you are consulting a dietician But, making adjustments. I think that is a great idea. Making your own adjustments. here is why. I have stage 3 kidney failure. Well........one of the books with recipes for meals...
in the beginning of the book, they have a write up of things NOT to eat. they say stay away from beef, Pork, eggs, and a few other items. Well get this.......the recipes they have, many included beef, and the items they say not to eat. so, me thinks.....you using your own adjustments, maybe, might be a good idea:)
We must be our own best friend. No one can look out for you like yourself. It is mostly trial and error at this point. Find what works for you and then go with it. It can be your new normal.
