My cardiologist prescribed it due to statin intolerance. I deferred starting it due to chronic sinusitis since nasal congestion, cold and flu like symptoms are a common side effect. I had surgery to fix the sinusitis, and when I was feeling better, started Repatha. 3 or 4 days after the injection, I woke up severely congested. The ENT said to discuss it with my cardiologist as a probable side effect.

Ahhh, good plan @con123
I see Sue has encouraging information about her experience. I am super curious to hear what you learn.

It is a side effect. I take a Sudafed and use a Nettie pot and it seems to help. I also went to urgent care and they gave me a prescription for TobraDex even though it’s off label use that really helped a whole lot!

I’ve been extremely sick after my 6 dose of Repatha, The sinusitis is wicked with severe angioedema. Don’t do it!!
