I was diagnosed by my dentist with Oral Lichen Planus almost a year ago. She has been guiding me in what I can try to treat it with. At the dentist recommendation, I tried to see a rheumatologist who also treat autoimmune issues and I've seen before for Vitiligo. She advised that the 3 providers in our county do not treat OLP.

I'd like to know who you see. Do you see Derm? Would they treat the mouth as a skin? We don't have a lot of choices in our area. Please advise. Thank you all.

@njh516 I’m really sorry that you have OLP but don’t have a doctor or it. I’m sure the dentist is great but I don’t know whether they prescribe the right medication for it.
You can also contact one of these organizations. They monitor autoimmune diseases and also keep a list of doctors who treat the disease.
NORD. National Organization for Rare Diseases. https://rarediseases.org/
GARD. Genetic and Rare Disease organization. https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/
I hope you’ll get some appropriate help soon
May I ask what your dentist treats your OLP with?
