Did you have severe osteoporosis? Did your kyphoplasty cause second procedure? My doctor said if I have it done the weight of the cement would cause other vertebrae to fracture. Thank you.

According to my cancer clinic I had severe osteoporosis, but they have really made a giant mess of my medical records. They have me listed as having a family history of Osteoporosis, which is absolutely not true. Zero history on either side of my family and my Mom was told she had the bones of a 16 year old when she was in her late 80's. The reason for the triple Kyphoplasty being needed was hospital staff ran a heavy hospital bed into my bed hours after my double Kyphoplasty and fractured 3 additional vertebrae in my spine. Prior to that, I had been feeling great from the double Kyphoplasty and was able to walk with support by holding the railing in the hallway as a precaution. The double Kyphoplasty was to fix L2 and T8 at the same time. I have Multiple Myeloma Cancer and had six fractured vertebrae, added one, then another from car wrecks, added a 9th from barely wiggling a garden hose and half empty light weight planter a few inches (didn't lift either one) and then went from 9 to 12 after the hospital staff broke L3,L4,L5 from the bed slamming incident and more while hospitalized and still in my bed. I had originally not wanted a Kyphoplasty because it was described as a longer, less successful and more painful procedure to me by a clinic I ended up not using. I hope my answer helps a little bit. Wishing you the very best, no matter what you decide. I was very excited and hopeful after getting my double Kyphoplasty until they injured me and really put me in a world of hurt, unfortunately. I did do a backside into major pain again after my triple Kyphoplasty, not quite sure what to do now, as I am not a fan of taking endless pills, but the horrific pain has really been an eye opener.
