I don't have this particular device due to my personal technology brands. I do have a hand held/external microphone that I use in many settings; especially when there is background noise. I have the Cochlear/ReSound mini mic.

I think these add on devices are very helpful. Years ago when Phonak came out with the first Roger device I got one and used it with both my hearing aid and my CI processor. It was being tested and I was a test subject. It had some faults, but they were on the right track in product development.

Assistive technology that works with our personal technology (hearing aids and cochlear implant processors) can be life changing. I'm glad you're looking into this, and hope you'll share your experience with how it works.
