@woody52

I’ve been on Gabapentin for 6 yrs
I couldn’t figure out why my legs would collapse without any warning
It didn’t happen that often
I’ve recently lost all ability to go Down Stairs without doing so 1 step at a time while holding on tight to railing
I’ve cut my dosage in half for going on a week and I feel like my legs are getting back stability somewhat but need to taper off the Gabapentin slowly
Im going to begin a Turmeric program on my own given the high degree of positive comments I’ve read by others
Anything other than Gabapentin

Unfortuately that drug can cause muscle weakness. Go on google and see all the side effects. then check out what Tumeric supplements are used for. I took them before for inflammation, and arthritis.........But if the drug has created the muscle weakness, i don't know how you would go about building the muscles back up. I think you will need more then tumeric. Physical therapy might help, but i don't know if that either will rebuild . If all else fails, maybe search for a Naturopath Dr., or chiropractor who uses a Tens unit, and an Ultrasound wand...........those also, may not work. This is like a needle in the haystack, where sometimes you just have to keep searching for an answer...........sometimes my personal searches for an answer have taken more than a couple of years, before i found the .....out of the box......one that works for me...........on line, check out.......can an ultrasound wand help for leg weakness..............if so, you can buy one for around $50, to $150 and use it at home. aprx 5 to 10 minutes a day and only 3 times a week. Just another avenue in that "haystack" to check out.
