Ray, in all sounds like good news. I think somebody 80 years old (or thereabouts) and the doctor wants the patient to pick up intensity a little, that is a good challenge so give it a shot and good luck. Perhaps balance will improve with leg strengthening. You'll know in 3 months.

Ed, something that's always in the back of my mind when I'm sitting with my podiatrist, particularly if he suggests things like " … you might want to pick up the instensity … " is my podiatrist is an ultra-marathoner. He's run and completed the unthinkable (to me, anyway) "Leadville Trail 100" –– 100 miles of rough trail running at 10,000 feet elevation. So, when my podiatrist advises that I "pick up intensity" of my home exercise routine, in the back of my mind I'm thinking, "Good lord, I hope he means just add a few more sit-to-stands!" 🙂 Ray (@ray666)
