I believe treatment decisions are also influenced by age. If you're under 50, the thresholds for recommending chemotherapy can be different. I was 43 when diagnosed—Oncotype score of 20, ER+/PR+, HER2-, Stage 1, Grade 2. The benefit of chemotherapy in reducing the risk of recurrence was estimated to be less than 1%, so we chose not to proceed with chemo. I'm currently undergoing hormonal therapy for five years.
