I really wish you had gotten more responses about personal experiences. I am 68 y.o. & have had one injection. I had no idea there were so many complications with prolia. My doctor didn’t tell me anything before she prescribed it. I had started fosamax & had a terrible reaction, so I was just happy there was an alternative . I am dismayed this “alternative “ is not a good one. I will try to find this thread again after I have been off the prolia so I can share my experience with you. I’m sorry it will be too late to help you with your decision. After everything I’ve read, I’m apprehensive about discontinuing it, but I’m more concerned about the long term effects!

I'm 86 with osteoporosis. Had reactions to Reclast. Just had first injection of Prolia. My hair is falling out. I researched on line and only 1% report hair loss. Now I have tachycardia. I am not taking another injection of Prolia. Seems one of the chemicals in Protia can cause low blood calcium which then causes a high pulse rate. I take Pilates twice a week and eat a plant based whole food diet. I believe keeping a healthy body will help the osteo going forward.
