I have iching and burning all over my body. Seen one neurologist and had a EMG and then went to Mayo neurologist who put me on duloxtine 60 (already on gabapentin 900). Came back home now seeing a new neurologist. Off both drugs because had side effects from gabapentin and recall on duloxtine. ( was up to 2800 on gabapentin doctors back here kept upping) I am pre diabetic but my celiac is really bad . My antibodies are still off the chart and I can't even eat gluten-free process foods. Thinking of going back to Mayo they were the only ones that were able to help before. I am experiencing breakouts with my dh rash Also. Not sure if it's all related.

I was able to slowly wean myself off the 1200 mg. Gabapentin and it left me with extreme itching on my scalp. I was going crazy with it. If you search the internet for Gabapentin withdrawal there are many posts about it. Yesterday I couldn’t take the scalp itching and took one 300 mg. Gabapentin and then one this morning. I’m going to see if 600 mg. a day will stop the itching. Feels slightly better already.

It would be good to see a nutritionist/dietitian to help you with pre-diabetes and celiac and prevent full blown diabetes. Diabetes is definitely a cause of neuropathy so reducing blood sugars is important.
Also, it would be good to get a small fiber neuropathy skin punch biopsy since this won’t show up on EMG/nerve conduction studies or MRI.
