@gamaryanne I take it you weren’t on any blood thinners before your Naliri? How are you doing now? From my PET scan (the MRI didn’t show anything or else it was read well) I have a new small lesion in my liver and possibly tumor or lesion in gallbladder. My docs last clinical notes say he’s considering putting me on Nal, but with 5-FU. But that chemo was before the PET scan results which I got yesterday. I don’t see many cases where pancan metastasizes to gallbladder . May ask for biopsy to be sure unless there’s some other blood test for it (my CA19-9 already elevated so not that one). My gallbladder was removed at last liver surgery. Doctor felt it was a problem waiting to happen and said I didn’t need it anyway. I’ve been fine without it. Naliri does include 5fu pump. It’s onivyde, leucovorin, and flourorcil(sp). For some mutations they add oxyplatin. We are holding off on that . It has done well shrinking my liver tumor to a state that SBRT would be effective. However, I would be required to be off chemo about 8 weeks. As much as I dislike it, I feel I need to continue clearing my system before a break. Maybe 2 months of normal CA19-9 scores?

Naliri includes 5fu.
The difference is that the irinotecan is a lipsomal version.
The side effects are similar to folfuri. But it seems to be working. I’m hoping for two more rounds to get my CA19-9 back to normal OR to have the lesion small enough for SBRT. I will find out Thursday how small the area must be for SBRT. Hoping it’s already there !
As an aside, my surgeon removed my gallbladder when he was working on my liver. He said it was useless and just another area to attract cancer. Maybe just get it out?!
