When I was new to Trimix, I found I had that stinging when I injected it in the wrong area. In my case, it was too deep. I found for me, I have to insert the needle at the 10 or 2 o'clock position and insert the length of the needle but just until the syringe reaches the skin (no depression of the skin). After having done it so many times now, I can feel the slight resistance when the needle penetrates the erectile tissue. After the injection, make sure you massage your penis and the base area to distribute the medication and stand while you are doing this and for the next 5-10 min. Don't give up.
My initial attempts with Trimix were marked by an achiness that lasted for two or more hours. Because I wasn’t getting the firmness I desired, my urologist increased the strength of the dose (went from #8 to #9 as offered by menMD). That resulted in even more discomfort to the point I stopped using that particular formulation. I learned that about 20% of men suffer from this discomfort which is caused by the aprostadil component of Trimix. MenMD offers low-aprostadil versions which is what I am currently using (#6). The discomfort, though still present, is at a much lower level and more easily tolerated. Another option is Bimix that contains NO aprostadil.
Graybeard for me when I started the injections it was uncomfortable throbbing for a period of time, each time but as my penis got use to the stretching,(had been a long time of not good errections) it got to be a shorter and shorter time of discomfort. Now @ 100 injections in, aside from initial injections no more discomfort. It is uncomfortable afterwards even now but just sitting in recliner for @ a hour or so, takes discomfort away. Not sure if other have same experience but this is mine and have absolutely no desire to go without the use of the Trimix. So worth it to me. Hope this helps
