@pumpiron3

Thank you Bob.
In 1971 I was playing in a Softball League. I played 3 rd base
I caught a line drive with my bare left hand and threw to first for a double play. My back went into a spasm.I eventually had a lamenectomy on L5 that same year due to the excruciating pain. I recovered quickly and continued playing softball and touch football. I also continued my Strength Training. I loved the weight training but I used very heavy weights. In 2012 I was in excruciating pain again from my weight training and the pressure of carrying my 230 lbs since I was 16 years old.
In 2015 I had a lamenectomy on L3,4,and 5. They also drilled out the Stenosis in those areas. In 2016 I had right hip replacement surgery, in 2018 I had right knee
replacement surgery.
In 2019 I had my left knee replaced. My back pain picked up again and I had problems walking. I had pain injections up to 2021 when I had surgery to a back Ligament to relieve the pressure on my Spine. It was unsuccessful. I went to see a 36 year old Neurosurgeon who told me he could help but there would be some side effects.In 2022 the 5 1/2 hr. Surgery was performed. I no longer had pain but I had a dropped right ft. and limited leg movement.
In 2023 I had my left hip replaced.
I have continued to exercise to keep moving so I don't end up in a wheelchair.I promised my wife who is 22 years younger than me that I am going to live beyond 100 with the good Lord's help which I pray for every day.

You are really the bionic man! I admire your tenacity to keep 'getting back on the horse'! Your wife is a lucky lady!

And I figured out your 'handle'! Very clever! However, my name is not Bob, my 'handle' is the combination of nicknames of my husband, myself, and my daughter!

I wanted to mention different type of therapy that I recently discovered. It is 'Functional Manual Therapy', and I won't try to explain it but I included two links where you can find out more information. I only have gone for three sessions, insurance doesn't cover this : ( so it gets costly. But I believe that if I had the time and money it is possible that I could have avoided surgery! I was so close to the surgery and I am in so much pain that I decided to go through with the operation.... but I will return to this as my resources will allow. I definitely believe it can help my underlying condition which the surgeons have said indicate that it is likely I will need one or two fusion surgeries down the road!
It might be worth looking into.... It is relatively unknown in general, and of course surgeons aren't very encouraging when they are not part of the picture! Anyway, good luck ...I think you have plenty off of that, and you really are amazing!
Keep pumping the iron!! : )
