Is neuropathy a Tymlos side effect?

Since having this my dr has had me stop the drug. My blood calcium levels were normal...actually got lower on the drug. My neurologist is concerned I may have developed an auto-immune reaction, a mild form of guilain barre syndrome. This could be the case as I've read after a year or two your body can develop antibodies to the drug and it becomes ineffective. Thus it must be provoking the immune system in some way. Can anyone confirm this? It's very depressing as this was my last try to tolerate some form of bone building drug. It seems I am hyper reactive to many types of pharmaceuticals.

tkdesign,

Of the patients receiving Abaloparatide for 18 months, 49% developed anti-Abaloparatide antibodies, 68% of which developed neutralizing antibodies to Abaloparatide. Of these patients tested for cross-reactivity, 2.3% and 0% developed cross-reactivity to PTHrP and parathyroid hormone (PTH), respectively. Of the patients that developed cross-reactivity to PTHrP, 43% developed neutralizing antibodies to PTHrP.

It's interesting that you would develop antibodies and cross-reactivity in such a short period of time. Additionally, guilain barre syndrome is usually not evidenced as whole leg tingling.
I'm impressed that your neurologist is aware of the possible connection.
Are you having antibody testing?
Have you tried Forteo?
