It sounds like your gut microbiome may be in a very poor state. Have you heard of SBO (small bowel bacteria overgrowth) or leaky gut? There are many ways to diagnose and treat such a thing if you have it. A functional medicine Dr tends to be best with these issues but insurance dos not cover them. I listen to Dr Mark Hyman podcasts and have read his books. He is truly an expert on all things like this. Check him out. He is very reputable and A leader in the functional medicine space. I don't know if I have a redundant colon but I will ask Dr. Miralax makes me really bloated and gassey. I agree. It's frustrating and painful. Can't even eat what I use to love. Colitis is the worst and very isolating.
